Bio Media Plus Moving Bed Bio Reactor Media (MBBR) is a “wheel” shaped polyethylene floating media made with internal and external areas for the colonization of bacteria. It is slightly positively buoyant and becomes neutrally buoyant once the bacteria is colonized on its surface area. The media requires some water movement and or air diffuser output to keep the media churning in a fludized bed, moving bed or MBBR system. The media may also be used in static filter media designs also.
Bio Media Plus MBBR features superior crush resistance along with improved durability and increased overall surface area. When using Bio Media Plus moving bed bio media, you get more surface area for your dollar, and a product that will last for decades. Bio Media Plus moving bed bio media also costs 30-70% less than other moving bed bio reactor (MBBR) media on the market, such as Kaldnes K1, K2, MB3 and others.
Bio Media Plus MBBR has been one of the most well documented biological solutions for the treatment of waste water, water for ponds, and aquariums. MBBR media is also perfect for DIY applications like moving bed filter applications and is research proven to be efficient.
